Great Start Readiness Program
GSRP
What is GSRP?
In partnership with Help Me Grow Washtenaw and the Washtenaw Intermediate School District, Apple Playschools is now offering no-cost preschool for 4-year-olds at our Green Apple Garden preschool (Green Apple Upper School) at 511 Miller Ave. in Ann Arbor. Conveniently located near Downtown on the 30, 31, 32, 34, and 61 bus routes, our Reggio-Inspried program offers play-based learning opportunities prioritizing outdoor exploration and play. Lunch and snacks are provided each day
(see a sample menu here).
Green Apple’s GSRP program is offered in a “braided” classroom. This means that some of the children in the classroom will be enrolled as GSRP-funded students, and some will come through our regular enrollment and tuition-based processes. The experiences for all children in the classroom will be the same, regardless of whether they are enrolled in GSRP or paying tuition. Our GSRP program will follow our play-based, Reggio Emilia-inspired philosophy.
GSRP runs Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm from January 6, 2024-mid-June 2025. Enrollment must be completed by January 23rd for a spot during the 2024-2025 school year. Late-afternoon and summer preschool is available through sliding-scale enrollment.
