Mud Day Mayhem 2024 In-Person Event

Leslie Science & Nature Center 1831 Traver Rd, Ann Arbor, MI 48105Join us for a day full of muddy and messy play! Make mud pies, paintings and sculptures, try out your skills at mud throwing, dip your feet or your whole body into the giant mud zone, listen to muddy stories and join the Mud Monster Parade. There will be a raffle for amazing local goods and adventures. Shirts and other Mud Day related swag will be on sale. All proceeds benefit our Scholarship fund.

Take the Mud Day Challenge
June 1-29, 2024
A month-long play outside challenge you can do anywhere! Complete a series of muddy adventures and activities to collect this year’s pack of mystical mud monsters. Help us collect 20,000 Muddy Minutes by going on a Trail Run, take a Nature Hike, visit your local farmers market, dig in your garden, dive into a mud pit, make a mud pie or create a muddy work of art. Log 250 Muddy Minutes and earn this year’s prize. Each donation we receive supports Apple Playschools’ Scholarship Program, working towards more equitable access to childcare. KIDZONE at A2SF: Mud Painting

5:00 PMJoin Apple Playschools in celebrating International Mud Day, a special day that encourages children all over the world to connect with nature by exploring the joy of playing in the mud! Create beautiful works of art using “paint” made from different types of soil. Make your own paint brushes using pine needles, feathers and other natural materials. When you are done painting, you can continue your exploration in our loose parts play area. This activity is fairly low on the messy mud play scale.
