Tuition Information

Tuition rates apply to all Apple Playschools infant, toddler, and preschool programs. Tuition is based on a child’s schedule and the contract length a family chooses. Families have the option to choose from several different contract options. This increases the tuition rate accordingly.*

2024-2025

Tuition Chart (Monthly Rate based on 12-Month Contract)

** Tuition prices are monthly, billed on the 15th of the previous month, each month.

Tuition is calculated on an annual basis, split and billed into monthly payments. Prices and hours are subject to change yearly; typically tuition increases annually 2%-6%. Families have the option to choose from several different contract options. This increases the tuition rate accordingly.

Contract Options for the 24-25 Year*

  • 12 month: September 2024 - August, 2025 (Includes a week of vacation)

  • Public School: September 2024- June 13, 2025 (additional 5% tuition)

  • University: September 2024- April 30, 2025 (additional 8% tuition)

  • Month to Month: This contract option is charged an additional 10% tuition

    *Please note that any family enrolling for 6 months or less must use a month-to-month contract or commit to a 12+ month contract by signing a contract for the remainder of the current school year and for the following school year.

  • 12 month: Aug 28, 2023- August 23, 2024* (includes a week of vacation credits, last day subject to change pending announcement of Ann Arbor Public Schools start date.)

  • Public School: August 28, 2023- June 7, 2024* (additional 5% tuition)

  • University: August 28, 2023 - April 26, 2024*  (additional 8% tuition)

  • ​Month to Month:  ​Any contract for 6 months or less (additional 10% tuition) ***

    *We typically increase tuition by 2-6% each year though tuition is subject to our Tuition Adjustment Policy. We are working to increase our scholarship granting capacity.

Scheduling & Sessions

Apple Playschools generally operates for care between 8:30am and 5:30pm, Monday through Friday. Specific contract information can be found on the Green Apple and Manzanitas websites. Tuition rates are on our website and vary based on the length of day and number of days a family chooses, as well as on the age of the child.

  • Morning session: 8:30 am to 12:30 pm 

  • Full Day: 8:30 am to 3:30 pm

  • Extended Day: 8:30 am to 5:30 pm

There is a two-morning session-per-week minimum for registered children.  We strongly recommend that families enrolling at Manzanitas Spanish Immersion Playschool use enroll for a three-morning minimum for the purposes of immersion and language acquisition.

Each child is allowed to register for their own individually tailored schedule with a combination of any of these sessions; however their schedule must be consistent week-to-week. For example, you can register for Monday/Wednesday half day preschool session and Friday Full day preschool, but this schedule will remain the same week-to-week until a schedule change or withdrawal notice is received and confirmed by the Program Director.

Calculating Mixed-Day Schedules

Some families prefer a schedule that combines half days with full days, or full days with extended days. If a family requests a mixed day schedule, the tuition rate is calculated by taking the average monthly rate. For example: 

If a family wanted 3 half-days and 2 full-days of preschool-age care:

  • ​5 Half Day Price + 5 Full Day Price / 2 schedule types

  • $947 + $1,355 = $1,151 Total monthly tuition in a 12-month contract (additional percentages will be added if signing for a school year or university contract)

Tuition Changes When Aging Up

As children grow up in our programs, they move from class to class according to their developmental stage, social needs, and classroom capacity. The age of children at these transition moments can vary quite a bit from child to child. Your Program Director will be able to give you specific details about your program's transition process. Tuition rates change when a child reaches 30 months. The new rate will be reflected on your invoice the first full month after your child's birthday. 

Children who have not yet attended their Kindergarten year are considered preschool aged children and will be charged the preschool rate regardless of age.
